Essayssssssssssss

So I am in the middle of writing an essay... and I have an English Major... this should be easy then right??

I have had so many people tell me "your lucky that your an English Major, it's easy for you to write essays". My response.. "it is?" I have never thought writing essays was easy, actually it is probably one of the hardest things I have ever faced. I can honestly say that I dislike writing essays especially if it's on a topic that I am not interested in. I remember having to write an essay like everyone else in the class on the same novel we were all reading. That is one thing that I didn't make my students do during my internship. For example my students completed book reports and presentations on the book of their choice. I allowed choice for all projects and that's what I think is important. Anyways back to my rant... I hate trying to write an essay that I don't want to write because I feel that I add unnecessary quotations into the essay just to fill it.

I would rather verbally express something rather than have to write it down. This essay I am working on is taking wayyyy longer than expected because I am so uninterested. My goal is to finish this essay by Weds and then continue the ECMM one. I am glad that we were able to choose our topic for ECMM. At least I know that essay won't be a drag.... :)

But I better get back to working on this essay... that is about half done. Here's the way I see it if teachers want their sudents to write an essay on something that they themselves would never write an essay on, then it's completely unfair for students...
