ECMM Final Project Proposal

I have decided to create a E-portfolio. YAY :)

I decided to create an E-portfolio because I havn't created a portfolio yet and I think it would be a good idea to highlight some of my strengths. I havn't created very many things online before so I think this would be a good idea for me to learn how and plus it looks like a fun project to create.

I hope this E-portfolio will help me with my professional career. I think it will be great for employers to look at. I am hoping it turns out good so I can use it during my application process. When I apply for jobs, I am going to have employers look at my E-portfolio.

I am still thinking about what I would like to include in my E-portfolio. Some things I would like to include are:
-school experience/education
-internship/student teaching
-job experience
-volunteer experience
-coaching experience
-information on interests and extra-curricular activities
-links to my intership report and references

I don't know how to include a sketch on here of my E-portfolio but I do know how I would like the layout to be. On the homepage I would like "Welcome to Kelcee's E-portfolio". I am going to put links on the first page that will directly bring viewers to the intended page. For example if the viewer wants to go directly to my school experience they will click on school experience. All the links will take the viewer directly to what they want to see. I would like to keep all the links on the left side of the page. I want my first page to be simple rather than having it to busy.
I like bright colors so I will probably use a brighter pink of some sort. I would like to grab the attention of the viewer but at the same time I don't want to turn a viewer away. I think I am going to have to play around with the colors before I decide for sure.
I love pictures so I am going to have images on every page but once again I am going to keep it simple because I don't want my pages to be to busy. The way I see it right now is most of the writing is going to be on the left side of the page and images on the right.

It was hard for me to decide what I wanted to do but I feel confident about doing this E-portfolio. I think it will be beneficial for me to complete an E-portfolio.
I am concerned about the process because I have never made a webpage before. I have been listening and taking notes of Dreamweaver in class but I still feel a little unsure about the process. At times I am confused about what order I should be doing things in. I am worried about how my webpage will look and whether or not I will be able to link all the pages together. Hopefully I will be able to figure everything out and create a successful E-portfolio.
All in all I think this will be a fun process.

  1. Good plan. You communicated your visual design plan very clearly. Based on your blog colour and visual design is important. I know this can be a scary process but please ask me or track me down outside of class time for help. I am pleased to her that you still think this is fun.
