Proposal for research paper ECMM 470

Here is my proposal....

I am going to write my research paper on sexting. I know very little on this topic and would like to find out more. I am going to research why children and youth take part in sexting. I want to know why this has become a popular technology tool over the last couple of years... and I want to know what sexting even all includes because from what I have heard it has become a very controversial topic. I am going to try to find out how many youth have tried sexting before. I have already begun looking for articles and I would like to expand my searching by looking at different legal cases that youth have been a part of. I think in my own classroom I would discuss sexting and the implications that come a long with it. I know the majority of youth have cell phones, but I don't think they know whether or not sexting is a bad thing. I think it would be a good idea to take a look at some of the legal cases that go along with sexting in the classroom. I am interested in this topic because I do think that someday I might run into a situation in my classroom that has to do with sexting. As a teacher I would like to find ways to deal with sexting if ever faced with this situation. I may decide to survey some of my younger cousins who are in high school to see what they will say about this topic. This is what I am going to focus my research paper on. :)
